The Future for African Youth (FAY) Foundation was established by Joe Buzugbe. He originates from the village of Ezi in the rural areas of southeastern Nigeria and through his life experience he knows how hard life is for disadvantaged children in Africa. Today he lives in the Netherlands and is determined to change the lives of future generations. To ensure that they do not have to go through the same experience he went through.
FAY Foundation was founded and officially registered in the Netherlands in February 2005. FAY consists of three Board members and numerous active volunteers in the Netherlands as well as in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Together they are working hard to realize projects for disadvantaged youth. The Board invests in FAY by paying and managing the Foundation’s administration and website. This ensures all donations and other contributions can be spent only on the projects thus directly benefiting the children.
